Athlete Check-In:  You Should plane to arrive no later then thirty minutes prior to the start of your competition.

                            3:00 pm                       All Youth and Adult Olympic Sparring.

Entry Fee:                     $ 50 for 1 or 2 events - $55 for 3 events $30 for Team Forms 

Spectators Fee:             $ 5.00 (free admission ages 5 & under)

Awards:                        AAU Gold, Silver and Bronze medals                        

                                    Sparring:  1^st, 2^nd and two 3^rd places            

                                    Patterns:  1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th places        

AAU Membership:     All athletes coaches and officials must be be an individual member of the AAU and must present their

 membership card at check-in. Cost of individual membership is $12.00 for ages 5 to 17 and $22.00 for ages 18 and up. This is

 a qualifier for Potomac Valley athletes, but you are invited to compete in this tournament regardless of which association you

 may belong. In order for this to be a qualifier for those outside of Potomac Valley, you’ll need to have the permission of the

 association chairman. For more information, contact Master Albano da Silva.           

Officials Certification:   Black Belts who are not certified AAU Referees/Judges and who have never officiated at an AAU

 sanctioned tournament may officiate at this tournament pending the director’s approval. At any future AAU event that individual

 must have obtained AAU certification in order participate as a tournament official.  All coaches and officials must be current

 AAU members.

Rules:    2003-2004  AAU Tae Kwon Do rules shall apply.  You can download current rules from our web site at www.aautaekwondo.org We advise you to do this.

Uniforms:   Competitors must wear a clean WHITE uniform only. Patches and screens are permitted. No rolled sleeves or cuffed pants.

Equipmen:   Point Sparring: The following safety gear is MANDATORY: Foam dipped or vinyl Headgear, Hand gear,

Footgear. A protective mouthpiece and a groin cup for males are also needed. Forearm, shin guards and rib guards are

 optional. Optional equipment must be worn UNDER the uniform.

Equipment Olympic:  All competitors must wear an Olympic style chest protector, headgear, Olympic Sparring & instep

 protectors, and forearm protectors and mouth guard. Males are required to wear a protective cup inside of their doom.

Officials / Coaches:  Coaches Attire: Blue AAU Shirt, white uniform pants and sneakers. Officials: 2003-2004 attire allowed.
